The examples below detail some of the processes of restoration, modification and repairs to a few guitars that we have been involved with.
From "basket case" projects, to necessary repairs and improvements, as well as cosmetic makeovers....
This EB3 bass arrived with the headstock completely off, the fingerboard broken and partly missing, along with a missing nut and some inlays. The truss rod was still in perfect condition.
This 1976 strat had many years of tobacco staining and discolouration all over the body and headstock. The pickguard was also damaged.
This 1938 Epiphone Blackstone arrived in a bit of a sorry state with splits to the body top, a crudely added cut in pickup and control panel along with a bowed neck and poor neck to body angle. There was also some missing binding and the back was falling off!
70's Gibson SG neck reset and Hofner President bass neck refit along with a little refurbishment work.
This bass arrived with its finish stripped off, an added rear pickup rout which had been filled, a broken pickup, no other electrics, and no fretboard!
This pre CBS Fender jazz bass arrived looking rather gloomy. The body had been repainted many times. There was black over white, red, grey, primer, more red!
